A little bit of Wales

Hello there ... Can you believe it's the 1st July? You wouldn't think so by the weather here ...

How was your weekend?
DH and I went to Wales on Saturday ... it's only about an hours drive and it was really enjoyable ...  This time of year the views are just stunning ...

Green as far as the eye can see, and if you like castles ... Wales has lots of them!

We took in the street market at Mold and stopped for a light lunch ... then drove on to Ruthin ... A place full of history with it's castle and beautiful old buildings ... it's hardly changed since medieval times

Don't you think it's funny seeing the tarmac road and the yellow 'no parking' lines alongside those buildings ...
This large rock is known as King Arthur's Stone

The plaque says that King Arthur beheaded his rival (both in love and war) on this rock - take a look at the building

This is now a bank!
And look at this roof full of windows ...

This is Myddleton Arms built in the 17th Century and known as the eyes of Ruthin

From there we went on to the lovely Betws-y - Coed ...

then Abergele and home ... stopping off to visit my brother along the way ...

Yep, it was a nice weekend

I'll be back tomorrow for the new challenge at City Crafter

Have a lovely day!
